Jake Lye – Graduate Structural Engineer

Jake joined our new Waterloo office shortly after it opened in 2024. Having previously gained nearly 10 years’ experience in the construction industry, Jake began his career as an apprentice technician, progressing to lead technician where he worked on large projects such as HS2 Old Oak Common. He then commenced his journey in design as an undergraduate engineer. This saw him working on a wide variety of commercial and residential structures which included embodied carbon calculation and returning to work on HS2. During this time Jake completed a BTec, HNC and Degree.

Since joining Perega, Jake has been working on numerous projects, including refurbishment works in the leisure, residential, healthcare, and commercial sectors.
