David Ayris – Senior Civil Engineer

David is a chartered civil engineer with 38 years’ experience in the design of civil engineering works across many industry sectors. He is highly skilled in the development of sustainable drainage strategies and highways design, including liaison with statutory authorities to achieve sign off and adoption.

David has a great working knowledge of BREEAM and how to achieve the available credits in respect of flooding and surface water treatment. He has experience of delivering projects on operational hospital sites and how to manage and mitigate the risks that arise from redevelopment and construction activity.

An excellent example of this is his work at Whipps Cross University Hospital, where David has been involved with the remodelling of the main entrance and access roads, the maternity theatres extension constructed over the main sewers serving the site, the women’s and children’s unit redevelopment, the A&E extension and the modular outpatients theatres project.
