Alasdair Beal – Consultant

Alasdair’s experience in structural and civil engineering spans a career of more than 40 years. He joined Perega in 1981, bringing design experience on long span bridges and residential and commercial buildings.
Alasdair acts as a project lead delivering structural, civil and drainage solutions on new builds and alterations. He also produces surveys and reports for property purchases, insurance claims and litigation.
He is a specialist in structural work on listed buildings with projects including Dean Clough Mills, Halifax and Salt’s Mill in Saltaire. Award-winning projects include the restoration of the fire-damaged Owston Hall in Doncaster and the stabilisation of Yorkshire Water’s leaning Seven Arches Aqueduct.
Alasdair has written many technical papers and has been recognised with awards from the Institution of Civil Engineers and the Institution of Structural Engineers. He is also a regular speaker at engineering conferences and meetings.
