Team Thomasons raises over £3,500 for Cancer Research UK

After cycling 54 miles (an easy or gruelling distance, depending on the individual perspective) on a route stretching from Clapham Common to Brighton’s famous seafront, staff from our Guildford and London offices have raised an incredible £3,532.50 for Thomasons’ corporate charity Cancer Research UK, exceeding the initial target of £3,000.

Mark Miller, structural engineer and chief fundraiser, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to have raised so much for this important charity. Our biggest challenge was Ditchling Beacon, four miles outside Brighton. Getting to the top was one of the toughest parts of the ride, but the view from the peak was amazing!

“It was quite a relief to cross the finish line – with the quickest member of our team finishing in 5 hours and 23 minutes, including an hour stop for lunch – but definitely worthwhile.”

Thank you very much to everyone who has sponsored us.”

The team members were Mark Miller, Luca Seculin, Fung Tsui, James Washbourne, Darren Williams, James Breed, Sam Askem, Monika Rybacka, Farhat Pourafshin and Siyamak Salehi Rad.
