Second Expert Witness Award for Thomasons Director

For the second year running, Thomasons Director Nick Russell has been named Expert of the Year, for his knowledge in the field of civil and structural engineering, at the Expert Witness Awards 2017.

Organised by Lawyer Monthly magazine, the awards recognise experts with exceptional knowledge in their field and a strong track record in helping courts reach sound legal decisions. Nick, who has acted as an expert witness in more than 230 cases in the UK and overseas, was nominated by the barristers and solicitors with whom he works.

Nick’s depth of knowledge is based on 37 years’ experience in the profession. He was International President of the Institution of Structural Engineers in 2014 and is currently Visiting Professor at the University of Surrey and a member of its Industrial Advisory Board. Nick is also Chair of the Joint Board of Moderators, which accredits civil engineering degrees.
