Mud, sweat and tears for charity

Team Thomasons has done it again. Having taken on the London to Brighton Cycle Ride and the Thames Path Challenge previously, this year they put themselves to the test with Tough Mudder to raise money for their 2018 corporate charity, Barnardo’s.

On a sunny September Saturday, 14 of the Guildford office’s finest put on their trainers and bravest faces to complete the famously challenging course in West Sussex. Through teamwork and sheer determination, they overcame 5 miles of physical and mental tests in just under three hours.

Participation in challenging fundraising activities has become an annual tradition for Thomasons, to complement smaller events held throughout the year. All proceeds go towards a charity, chosen at the start of the year through a process of nominations and staff voting.

Emma Read, marketing communications manager at Thomasons, comments: “We’re really pleased that our training and efforts have paid off to help children and young people across the UK. Several miles of obstacles is a small price to pay to support a worthy cause.”

The team has nearly fulfilled their £3,500 goal with the help of around 70 supporters.

It’s not too late to donate to Barnardo’s on behalf of Team Thomasons by visiting their Just Giving page here.
