Hat-trick of awards for mental health facility Kingfisher Court

Kingfisher Court – a state-of-the-art mental health facility in Hertfordshire – won no less than three awards at the annual Building Better Healthcare Awards on 4th November. Thomasons acted as civil and structural engineers on the project.

As well as being named Best Mental Health Development and Best External Environment, Kingfisher Court also picked up the prestigious Grand Prix Design Award.

Located near Radlett, Kingfisher Court is a single storey building that is notable for its contemporary, non-clinical and welcoming design. It was completed in autumn 2014.

Thomasons is building a growing reputation for its work in the healthcare sector; current projects include the major redevelopment of Chase Farm Hospital in Enfield and Luton & Dunstable Hospital.
