Perega plays key role in the engineering of Everton’s new stadium
Perega has played an important role in the engineering of Everton Football Club’s state-of-the-art new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock. The 52,888-capacity stadium, approximately two miles from Everton’s existing ground, marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the club. The brick façade thoughtfully echoes the architectural heritage of the surrounding docklands, while a commitment to sustainability is evident in the reuse of materials throughout the project.

Tasked by envelope-specialist contractor Lindner Prater, Perega’s involvement spanned two distinct phases. Initially, the team designed movement joints on the roof structure, which required an innovative structural approach to connect the large sections while accommodating the stadium’s inherent movement. Subsequently, Perega provided structural consultation services for the stadium’s external envelope, acting as a crucial checking authority for the complex glazing and cladding systems.
The project presented unique challenges, including unprecedented façade designs and the need to accommodate structural movement. Our innovative approach and meticulous attention to detail ensured the safety and stability of these elements, facilitated by seamless collaboration with Lindner Prater’s European design teams.

Our senior structural and façade engineer, Krzysztof Nowak, who worked on the project, commented: “Contributing our engineering expertise to a landmark development like the Everton Stadium project has been a privilege. Tackling the unique challenges presented by the impressive cladding and roof systems allowed our team to truly showcase Perega’s commitment to delivering innovative and robust design solutions.”
Perega’s dedicated expertise and diligence have been instrumental in ensuring the structural integrity and successful implementation of key architectural elements of the Everton Stadium.
