Perega was appointed as structural engineers for this prestigious six bedroom residential property located in a rural location within the Surrey Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The brief required the complete refurbishment and major extension of this Queen Anne style house to create a modern family home.

We worked closely with the architect to totally renovate the interior, including structural remedial works, structural alterations to increase room sizes, the addition of a new entrance lobby and porch as a focal point to the front of the house, the addition of dormer windows to make the roof space habitable, a garage extension including a new gym and new feature staircase leading to the basement.

Perega also delivered the civil and structural design for the new basement extension which was formed by cutting into the chalk hillside. The new building contains an 18m swimming pool and sauna which opens onto a striking sun terrace, finished with a grass roof to reduce visual impact.
