Ludlow Lodge, Sutton, Surrey

Perega was appointed to provide civil and structural engineering services on a new contract to deliver 93 affordable new homes across three sites to the London Borough of Sutton, with a combined value of over £20 million.

Ludlow Lodge is the largest of the three sites and was designed using BIM. The structure was an RC frame on a piled foundation and the pitched roofs are formed using structural steelwork to create a loft-type feel to the top floor apartments.

The development necessitated extensive repair and replacement work to boundary walls, some of which were retaining adjacent land. Perega prepared the specifications for repair and the design details for the strengthening.
