Raising the standard
We are proud to be among one of the first engineering consultancies to obtain BS EN ISO 19650:2 certification, demonstrating our ability to facilitate greater collaboration and coordination of information on our projects.
Whilst ISO 19650 benefits all stakeholders on a project, it enables us to fully meet the needs of our clients through a managed process, improved efficiency and reduced costs. Perega’s employees are at the heart of what we do and an integral part of creating a BIM and Information Management environment of the highest standard.
Software
Perega utilises Autodesk products as our core platform, incorporating tools such as AutoCAD, Revit and Civil 3D. This is complemented by a range of third-party applications including Rhino, Grasshopper and Dynamo. Together, these technologies enable us to elevate design changes quickly, explore multiple design options and present real-time visualisations for collaborative discussions. This flexibility allows us to optimise layouts to suit end users, identify opportunities for cost reduction and ensure designs remain aligned with stakeholder goals.
Automating for efficiency
In line with the BS EN ISO 19650 standard for information management, we maintain rigorous internal processes to ensure that model data is structured, applied and managed to current best-practice standards. To support this, our in-house developers have created a range of automated tools within Revit, using the Revit API and the power of .NET. These bespoke scripts are maintained and deployed internally to streamline data management, reduce repetitive tasks and improve productivity across the team.
Some examples of these custom tools include:
- Sheet parameter manager – enables all project parameters to be edited from a single dialogue box.
- Model issue tool – prepares and cleanses models for issue, ensuring they meet BEP requirements.
- Pile data automation – extracts and processes pile setting-out and loading data for entire projects.
- Carbon calculator – integrates model data with PowerBI to produce detailed carbon analysis reports.
