Perega place people first and are always pleased to welcome talented individuals that will add value to our team. We are fully committed to helping people to fulfill their potential and progress within the business. This includes giving young people who join us from school or college the opportunity to extend their skills by gaining a professional qualification.
Each year we aim to employ a small number of graduates with a degree in civil or structural engineering. There is no grade requirement, as we place a high priority on potential and attitude.
Graduates can apply to any of our offices across the UK. Training is tailored to each individual and is based on involvement with live projects. Each graduate is assigned an experienced mentor for support, and by working on live projects you’ll learn from some of the UK’s leading civil and structural engineering consultants.
Our apprenticeship scheme is an ideal route into engineering for anyone who has already decided on it as a career path. The scheme allows you to gain valuable work experience while you work towards a qualification and is offered across all of our Perega and Perega Clear Structures offices.
The programme takes 6-8 years and is open to applicants with varying educational backgrounds. Those who complete a Level 4 or higher apprenticeship will receive a Civil Engineering Degree (BEng) upon completion.
Throughout the course of study, apprentices will be paired with a mentor to work with as they undertake everything involved in becoming an engineer, from running projects and helping prepare calculations to project administration and site visits.

If you want to find out whether a career in civil and structural engineering is for you, a work placement in one of our offices across the UK is a great way to start. We offer 15-18-year-old students a one-week placement during school/college holidays, with hands-on experience.
For undergraduates, we offer an extended 2-3 months placement each summer. This is usually best suited to those who have completed two years at university, although we also consider outstanding first-year students.
Undergraduates should contact us by 31st December in the year before you would like to take up a placement, and school students/leavers should get in touch by 31st January of the same year of the placement.
